The men’s World Cup

Soccer/football is most popular sport in the world, and the men’s World Cup is the most widely watched sporting event. It engages massive numbers of spectators from around the globe. Yet, for the past eight years—two full cycles—the World Cup has been hosted in countries hostile to LGBTIQ+ people.

United 2026

The 2026 men’s World Cup presents a unique opportunity because it will take place in 16 stadia across three countries—Canada, the United States, and Mexico. We see this as an enormous opportunity to show up for LGBTIQ+ human rights while participating in a sport that we love. Our project is to have Pride Houses in every host location. As of today, we have agreements with 14 of 16 cities.

What will Pride House United 2026 be?

We encourage each local organization to create a program of events that makes the most sense to their cultural and political contexts. Past Pride Houses have included:
